New job as Camera Trainee
It’s been a while since my
last post and so I have a few things to update you on!
-
My second short film Aerona is now complete and I’m now
researching possible film festival entries.
-
As well as working at
Films@59, I also recently did some daily running during casting for Revenge of the Egghead and The Great British Bake Off. These were
both fantastic experiences and I thoroughly enjoyed working with potential contributors
and contestants for these great TV shows.
-
I’ve now completed my
one year contract at Films@59, which was bitter sweet. It’s been a brilliant
year and the best possible start in the industry I could’ve asked for. I was
lucky enough to work with lots of interesting people and I learnt a lot while
on the job.
The biggest news of all is
that I’ve just started a new job as Camera Trainee on The Mimic, a comedy TV
series by Running Bare Productions. I’m working on the second series, the first
series broadcast on Channel 4 last year and is available on 4OD (http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-mimic/4od
) In preparation for this role, I did some training in the kit hire department of
Films@59 and have been researching on line about camera equipment and the role
of the Camera Trainee. This role involves driving the camera truck, assisting
with camera kit set up and maintenance, and generally being available to help
the camera crew whenever needed. I’ve stocked up on waterproofs, work boots and
even a deer hunter hat so at least I’ll look the part!
Non-uniformity correction algorithms are included that are independent of exposure time. best camera brand
